Community Bond Program Begins!

Community BondIt is no secret that it not only takes a lot of hard work to start or grow a business but a lot of capital as well.  Farming is no exception to this!! Every farm business has that “game changer” next piece of equipment, building infrastructure, or greenhouse etc. that takes our businesses that next step up. Whether that is increasing food production for our communities; bringing more efficiency to our production methods to keep customer costs down; or simply helping make tasks easier to reduce the wear and tear on our bodies so we can keep doing this profession into our later years.

It has taken a lot of capital to grow our farm to what it is today and will take a great deal more to get it to where we dream it has the potential to be. In the past we have raised that capital through traditional methods i.e. bank loans, LOC’s, financing and agriculture specific loans. Although these avenues to access capital have worked to grow the farm business, they come with high administration fees, high interest and puts a considerable amount of our money in the bank’s pocket! We see community financing as the way forward to raising capital for our farm while putting the interest money right back in our customers’ pockets!!

To do this we are selling Community Bonds for our farm. We are offering two options for this: 1. a $3000 investment for a 3 year term or 2. a $5000 investment for a 5 year term. Both with a 5% interest paid out on the bond at the end of the term.

Weeds are the bane of our existence as organic farmers. Our next game changer investments are to acquire cultivation tools and a used tractor to put an end to the weed battle once and for all!  Acquiring this piece of equipment would enable us to basically weed all our row crops in a day on the farm!

We hope you may be interested in this great investment opportunity and can provide further detail and necessary documents as needed.
